Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a standardized test conducted by Pearson. It is an aptitude test whose results are utilized by many institutions for admission into graduation programs. This test consists of analogies pertaining to various subjects. Hence, it focuses on understanding of subject matter instead of cramming facts or information.

Eligibility-

MAT is a test for admission into post secondary courses. It serves as one of many criteria by several graduate schools and colleges. It is a high level test which examines ability to solve problems which are stated in the form of analogies.

Test Overview-

The test contains 120 partial analogies which are to be solved in 60 minutes time. The content of this test is derived from subjects like- humanities (history, religion, philosophy, music, literature and fine arts), social science (political science, sociology, economics, anthropology and psychology), natural science (physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy and ecology), mathematics (numerical, computation and quantitative), language (grammar, vocabulary, word meanings and language usage) and general (work, business, culture and life experience). The analogies are presented in form of paired relationships which may be semantic, classification, association or logical type. Out of 120 test items, 100 are scored while 20 are unscored. These unscored questions are experimental and included in the test for its future administration.

Schedule-

There are more than 500 Controlled Testing Centers (CTC) throughout United States, Canada and international sites where this test is administered. A list of controlled testing centers with contacts is available at the official website – www.milleranalogies.com.
